Barbara Bush passed away this week at the age of 92. As an American, I am sad at the loss of a former First Lady and First Mom. Of course, I didn't know Mrs. Bush personally. Yet, here are some things she taught me about being a real woman:
You don't have to explain or defend who you are to anybody. Ever.
Supporting the success of other people is being successful.
If you are asked what you think, say it.
Make your own decisions, down to the very last one.
I wish I could have known Mrs. Bush personally. She seems like she would have been really cool to hang out with.
