I feel like I need to start this post with a couple of disclaimers.
And, all right, I’ll just go ahead and say it – If I were a worship team member right now, I would be having a BLAST! Nothing makes me feel more alive than singing in front of people. It's thrilling. I live for it. Yes, I understand the calling, privilege, and responsibility of leading people in worship. (Refer back to my Disclaimers above). But, this online thing is also FUN!!! I’ve got people hearing (and seeing) me sing that, 6 weeks ago, didn’t even know I existed!
So, now let me get down to what this post is ultimately about. Questions:
Pastors and Worship Leaders, what are you doing to make sure that your online church experience is not a “show”?
Singers and Musicians, as your audience grows, what are you doing to keep your ego from growing along with it?
Talk to me. Talk to us. How are you keeping Jesus, instead of yourself, at the center of this “Super Bowl of Church” era?
